Frequently Asked Questions

Q.1 Will I be picked up and dropped off at my home?

A.1 Yes. Happy Cabby supplies a door to door service from Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Northern Central Coast, Port Stephens, Maitland, Cessnock and Pokolbin. We do not go beyond these points so passengers outside these areas will need to meet our bus at a given pick up point in our pick up area.

Q.2 How often do your buses go to Sydney airport?

A.2 Happy Cabby has 9 to 12 buses going to Sydney and return each day (Excluding Christmas Day & Boxing Day). Because each day is different our runs are worked out on the passengers already booked in. Generally we work 4 to 5 days ahead.

Q.3 My flight is very early in the morning, can you get me there?

A.3 Yes. Happy Cabby services from the first flight in the morning to the last flight in the evening at Sydney airport. However once our runs are done for that day and you are wanting to make a booking we may not be able to meet your requirements.

Q.4 Do you go to the Sydney & Newcastle Shipping Terminals?

A.4 Yes. Happy Cabby supplies a service to and from both Sydney & Newcastle shipping terminals.

Q.5 Do you go to Airport & CBD Hotels?

A.5 Yes. We can pick you up and drop you off at any CBD or Airport Hotel. We ask for flexibility in pick up and drop off times as we include these on runs going and coming from the airport.

Q.6 When will I be picked up to be taken to my flight?

A.6 Happy Cabby will get you to your flight (International) 2 to 3 hours prior to departure and (Domestic) 1 - 2 hours prior. If you want an earlier arrival please advise us when you are making your booking.

Q.7 When will I know my pick up time?

A.7 We ask all passengers to ring us the morning prior to departure to get their pick up time. If you are travelling with us on the weekend or Monday we ask you to call us on the previous Friday morning. Please note that your inward return flight will be confirmed before departure.

Q.8 How do I pay for my travel?

A.8 Payment is generally made by credit card or Paypal at the time of booking. We also accept EFT direct to our bank account for bookings made 5 working days before travel. Bookings made 7 working days before travel can pay by posting a cheque to our office. Our drivers do not carry cash.

Q.9 What is your cancellation policy?

A.9 ‚ÄčIf a booking is cancelled at least 7 days prior to the date of travel (Australian ESDST), a $20.00 administration fee will be deducted from the refund. If a booking is cancelled less than 7 days prior to the date of travel (Australian ESDST) NO refund will be given.

Q.10 What if my flight details change?

A.10 Happy Cabby understand that flights can change or be cancelled by the airlines. If your flight changes we must be informed at your earliest convenience so we can reschedule you in our system. There are no extra fees charged to you for these changes.

Q.11 What happens if my flight is running late into the airport?

A.11 Happy Cabby monitor all incoming flights and if your flight is running late we will put you on a later bus. Even flights delayed until the next day will have a bus to get you home. Remember we have 9 to 12 buses at the airport each day.

Q.12 What if I can't find my driver at the airport?

A.12 It is most important that you go to the designated meeting point that you are given when booking. We ask all passengers for a mobile number and ask that you turn this on as soon as possible after landing. If you are having trouble locating the driver ring the office or emergency number on your paper work. Do not go outside looking for the bus.
